Public Transport Tickets in Rome

In Rome, purchasing a 24-hour ticket is a good value after three standard single rides on the public transport network, which includes buses, trams, and metro services.

Reduced fare options are also available for certain groups like children, seniors, and students, making day passes a cost-effective choice.

Transfers

  • Leonardo da Vinci Airport (FCO): Rome’s main airport is connected to the city via the Leonardo Express train, which runs to Termini Station in 30 minutes. Buses also connect the airport to central Rome. In addition, there are private transfers, shared shuttle services, and executive transfer options like taxis and Uber.
  • Termini Station: Rome’s central train station, Termini, is centrally located and connected to the city’s metro lines. Taxis are readily available, but booking through phone apps is often more convenient.
  • Bus Terminal: Rome’s central bus terminal is adjacent to Termini Station, providing seamless connections to the metro and bus networks for easy access throughout the city.
